"Professor Next?" Z asked after she grabbed the phone. "I'm fine, really, don't worry about me." She was lying, of course, but pretty convincingly. "It was just a momentary thing."
"Well, if you need anything or if there's something in the class material that you want to go over, stop by my office. I doubt next week will pose a problem. Dickens hasn't insulted anyone since the 1900s other than university literature students."
"Hey Z, it's Bridge? Uh, remember how I said I was gonna be better about telling you stuff that's going on with me? Well. Last night, someone attacked a bunch of people in their sleep. Um. Including me. I'm fine, though. My hands are still attached and everything. Just thought you should know."
