Room 317, Monday Afternoon

Z had no children. But after a run to Turtle and Canary, Z had Cheetos and candy. She also had stolen pixie extra credit booze in her sock drawer, music, and an open door. Any kids who came in her room were so getting sugared up. She was nice like that. Their parents probably wouldn't think so, but what did Z care? She was kid-free!

"I'm so glad I've never angered Parker," Z said. "She certainly looks like Payback!" she told Bronwyn. "Have you been running your dads ragged?"

"Uh huh! I said hi to Melly who's sposed to be a baby but she isn't and we were gonna hatch kittens from a jar but I guess it's a good thing we didn't really, then I meeted Lulu and she made me eggs benefits and there was some guy who was there 'cause he was not my daddy and then I gotta have Passover cupcakes with daddies cause we couldn't have reg'lar cupcakes cause Passover, and then we went to the park and then I wanted ice cream but I finded Caritas instead and there was Uncle Anders and Pandora and Artemis and Matt and Maddie and Victoria! Victoria and Maddie aren't even *borned* yet but they're here AND there was a Power Ranger too and he said the way I got borned was weird and I said NO it's science and science is cool and he wanted to know if I'm 'lated to anyone named Reed and I said I'm not and he said good cause then I can't clone Thor and I said I knows someone who can clone themselfs and then there was ice creams and then Payback got delivered and Daddy said it was Holy Crap o'Clock in the morning and did you know kitties didn't like pizza?"

Z blinked and let herself take a moment to process that and wonder when the heck this kid breathed. "I did know kitties don't like pizza. You have to feed kitties kitty food. And you're right, you do know someone who can clone themselves," she added with a grin.

"That's YOU!" Bronwyn cheers, handing Payback over to Bridge so she *can* do a running tackleglomp.

"It is!" Z agreed, right before she found herself tackleglomped. "Oof."

"Hi hi hi!" Bronwyn says. Yes, again. "Whatcha doin'? Sides from hugging me, I know you're doing that, but what were ya doing before we innerupted you?"

"I went shopping. I have candy for you," Z said happily. "And something special for your dad."

"Ooh, candy for me? Thank you!" Bronwyn tilts her head. "No candy for Daddy?"

"Daddy can have candy too, but I got Daddy something else." Z grinned up at Bridge from Bronwyn level. "I got you some extra credit."

"Extra- ooooh," Bridge's eyes go wide. "Wait, wait, you mean you..." vague fingerwiggle that's supposed to be 'stole alcohol from an insane pixie?'

Z rolled her eyes. "She wanted to burn my prom dress, she was asking for it. It's in the sock drawer. You can have it...later," she said, cutting eyes to Bronwyn. "When we're not corrupting that one."

"Well, thanks..." Bridge manages. "I mean, I don't usually advocate, well. Uh. But like you said, prom dress. And also extra credit. Which I can't exactly turn down. And you went to all that *trouble*..." he babbles. "Just, thanks. You're the best."

Z shrugged. "The pixie's kinda dumb. I'll buy her some to make up for it when I get my next stipend."

Bronwyn tugs on Bridge's sleeve. "Daddy, kitty can't have candy, right?" Not chocolate candy, anyway, which she's currently trying to lick off Bronwyn's hand.

"Yeah, no. Candy is people food just like pizza. Don't let her have any, okay?"

"Okay. No chocolate for kitties, Payback." Bronwyn shakes her finger at the kitten, then, well. Licks the chocolate off her hand herself.

Seemed perfectly reasonable to Z. "So, how have you been, Bronwyn? Besides getting a kitten and terrorizing your dads here?"

"Daddy made Twinkie ice cream from the synth'tron!"

"Twinkie ice cream, huh? That sounds..." fairly horrible. "Interesting."

"It's mooshy!" Which is clearly one of the best things ice cream can be, ever.

"Mooshy," Z said slowly. "Riiiight. Well, Bronwyn, I guess it's good that you like the Twinkie ice cream, because I don't think I would."

Bronwyn shakes her head. "Daddy makes it alla time at home and Daddy an' me and Aunt Dawn like it but you say ewwww."

"Ewwww is definitely right," Z agreed. "But if we were all the same the world would be pretty darn boring, wouldn't it?"

"Yuh-huh." Bronwyn nods. "'Cept you can be all the same and that's not boring 'cause you can go do lots of different stuffs at the same times!"

"That's true," said Z, "but we're all still me. You get that, right?"
