Room 317, Saturday Evening

Z was reading Yuletide fics poking around on her computer when the "You've got mail!" box popped up.

...oh, look. It was from Kat. Again. Z was really starting to wonder what they'd done to garner so much attention from the head of SPD Earth's science division this semester. She sighed and picked up the phone to handwavily notify Bridge.

"Hey," that'd be Bridge, poking his head through Z's doorway. "You rang?"

"Briiiiidge," Z whined, "she's doing it again."

"Who's doing what?" Bridge comes in to the room. Then he gets it. "*Another* one?"

"She wants to know how we did on our exams," Z said mournfully.

"...Do we even *know* how we did on our exams, yet?" Bridge says. "I mean, I think I did well enough, but I don't think grades or anything have been posted as handwavey as they are so how can we say for sure?"

"I don't," Z said, "and I report that stuff to Officer Blake anyway. Not her, usually. But, since she asked...should I just tell her grades aren't in yet blah blah blah?"

"Um, yes please." Bridge says. "Also don't mention the thing with the evil vampire during exams week and how we all went traipsing through the sewers looking for him. I'm not sure that'd go over well."

"We should've gotten some vampire chalk," Z grumbled, resisting the urge to poke at the almost-healed bruise on her jaw. "Although in our defense, we did save the innocent. Though if we can't handle one vampire I don't know how we're going to handle the legions of Gruumm, so...yeah, leaving that out."

"Well hopefully we'll have, you know, morphers by then." Bridge points out.

"Those would be helpful," Z mused. "Do you think blasters work on vampires?"

"That... is a very good question," Bridge says. "I don't think I've ever tried. Usually I just go the sword route because hey, I *know* a sword's gonna cause damage."

"Maybe we can try that next time." Then she froze. "I didn't say that."

Bridge facepalms. "...How long have you been here, again?"

"Two years in May," Z said. "Shut up." She clicked 'reply' and started typing her reply to Dr. Manx. "I could always tell her you failed everything..."

"You're right," Z agreed. "I wouldn't. I'm too nice."
